Cooshee changer and A+ customer service

Anyone who knows us (or has read any of this blog) won't be surprised that when it came time to pick out a changing pad, we did a lot of research. Most are made with vinyl, which comes complete with that nasty offgassing. And even the ones that are labeled organic only have organic fill.

It also didn't make sense to buy an organic changing pad cover if there was any chance that the pad underneath contained phthalates.

After a lot of searching, I found the Cooshee changer by Baby Smart. It's made of soft, molded foam that doesn't get cold and wipes clean very easily. It costs a little more than traditional changing pads, but it doesn't need a cover, so that evens out the cost a bit more.

However, when the changer arrived, it was damaged and discolored. I contacted the store where we bought it (sending pictures) and was told they would ship out a replacement. The next thing I knew, someone from Baby Smart contacted me directly to arrange for FedEx to pick up the defective changer, and for a satisfactory replacement to be shipped ASAP.

With five days until the baby's due, it's going to be a race to see which arrives first, but I have to say, it's been a long time since I've received such great customer service.
